Scope and Content

Correspondence with Frederick Bernard Pidduck, mathematician, relating to a request for a letter to the editor on the proposed extension of the Bodleian to be published in the Manchester Guardian, which is granted, and a request for a ground plan of All Souls College for potential reproduction in the paper, which is provided, with further discussion of the proposed library expansion. There is a request from Scott for an article from Pidduck on the subject to accompany the plan's publication in the paper, which is declined.

There is a suggestion from Pidduck that the Manchester Guardian should publish a weather report in its early edition, which is acknowledged, with an explanation of the difficulties encountered by the time of the arrival of the official weather report.
