Scope and Content

Correspondence with Theodore Rothstein (1871-1953), journalist and diplomat, relating to discussion of potential coverage of events in Spain and Portugal from the foreign press by Rothstein for the Manchester Guardian, in addition to the focus on France and Germany, and reference to the situation in Morocco. Also included is discussion of Rothstein's return to Russia, a positive report by him on the conditions there, and the British policy towards Russia.

GDN/A/R58/5 is a letter to the editor by Andrew Rothstein, son of Rothstein, objecting to the description of his father as a Bolshevik propagandist in the Manchester Guardian, 1923.
