Correspondence relating to Thomas Hatherley Pear, psychologist, including a letter from Henry A. Miers, mineralogist and university administrator, regarding the provision of an article by Pear entitled 'Nervous Breakdown', with a request that it is published to generate publicity for a public lecture on the subject at the University of Manchester. Also included are internal memoranda relating to a request made to Pear for an article on the Freudian view of insanity, which is declined, and an offer by Pear of occasional articles on psychological subjects, which is accepted.
