Correspondence with Sir William Henry Houldsworth, first baronet (1834-1917), cotton industrialist and politician, relating to discussion of the proposed purchase of Trafford Park by [Manchester City Council], with reference to an application made for assistance to the David Lewis trust by the [Sir Anthony Marshall] Lord Mayor [of Manchester], and a project by the trust to provide a hospital in Manchester. There is also reference to Houldsworth's desire to discuss the proposals with Scott.
