There is discussion of the censorship of telegrams sent and received by Waterfield, and articles on the dissolution of parliament and elections in Italy. Also included is discussion of a warning from Antonino Di Giorgio, army officer and politician, received by Lina Waterhouse, journalist and author, [wife of Waterhouse] that the Italian government disapprove of Waterfield's communications with the Manchester Guardian, and may take steps to ensure that they cease. There is a notice of the termination of Waterfield's work as a correspondent for the paper, owing to the employment of a permanent correspondent in Rome, and an expression of best wishes by Waterfield to Scott [on the occasion of his 80th birthday].
