Correspondence with J.C. Maxwell Garnett, secretary of the League of Nations Union, relating to discussion of a letter to the editor by Leslie W. Carruthers on a resolution passed by the League of Nations Union and its impact upon settling disputes between Japan and China, with reference to a speech by Lord [Edward] Grey, viscount and politician, and calling for fellow foundation members of the League of Nations Union to withhold their subscriptions, published in the Manchester Guardian. Also included is correspondence between Garnett and Carruthers on the same subject.
