Scope and Content

Correspondence with Charles Stewart Orwin (1876-1955), agricultural economist and historian, relating to a request for an article from Orwin on the Liberal land scheme for the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of the scheme, which is granted. Also included is an excerpt of a letter by Orwin relating to his collaborator on The Tenure of Agricultural Land, W.R. Peel, agriculturist.

There is a request by Scott that Orwin write regular articles on agricultural subjects for the Manchester Guardian, which is accepted, with discussion of potential subjects, frequency and payment. Also included is a request to receive cuttings of articles relating to agriculture published in the Manchester Guardian, in exchange for the provision of publications of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, which is granted.
