Scope and Content

Correspondence with Harold Cox (1859-1936), economist and journalist, relating to discussion of a request by Scott for articles by Cox entitled 'Has Free Trade Failed' for publication in the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of form and content.

Also included is the suggestion by Cox that he write an additional article on free trade entitled 'How We Pay for our Imports', which is accepted. There is also a request from E.T. Scott that Cox write a review of a book entitled Through Tariffs to Propserity by H.G. Williams.
