Correspondence with Frank Lenwood (1874-1934), clergyman and missionary, relating to requests by Lenwood that the Manchester Guardian notice and review Christianity and Civilisation in the South Pacific by W.A. Young, which is accepted, and Problem of the Pastorals by Percy Neale Harrison, which is declined, with discussion of the books, and of the reviews of theological books in the Manchester Guardian, accompanied by related internal memoranda.

There is correspondence between Lenwood and E.T. Scott, relating to the provision by Lenwood of information on the potential dismissal of William Staveley Armour, newspaper editor, from his position at the Daily Whig, and also discussion of thanks for praise from Lenwood of a biographical supplement on C.P. Scott.
