Correspondence with Kate Evelyn Isitt (1876-1948), journalist and writer, relating to an application by Isitt for employment at the Manchester Guardian, with details of previous experience and the provision of specimens of work. There is correspondence relating to a period of absence from work for Isitt owing to a small operation, with internal correspondence relating to discussion of a letter from Isitt's doctor, and the need to wait on the outcome of the period of absence [to assess Isitt's recovery].
