Chapman, professor, relating to a request by Scott that Chapman undertake an enquiry into estimating the causes and extent of unemployment in Lancashire for publication in the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of potential assistance for Chapman from [H.M.] Hallsworth, economist, the need to wait until the cotton dispute has unfolded, and arrangements for a meeting to discuss the project.
