Scope and Content

Correspondence between Jules Menken, economist, and E.T Scott, relating to discussion of the potential production of a safeguarding supplement by the Manchester Guardian, and the decision that they are unable to do so, but would like to help with propaganda on the subject. There is correspondence relating to the praise by Menken of an article on minorities in the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of the position of minorities in Europe and what the opportunity this subject gives for the Labour government to illustrate their international principles.

There is an offer by Menken of an article on the finance of the local government bill, and the provision of the article for consideration to the Manchester Guardian. There is discussion of a potential meeting between Menken and E.T. Scott. Also included is a request for a repeat contribution to the Department of Business Administration at the London School of Economics, which is declined.
