Scope and Content

Correspondence with Sir William Rothenstein (1872-1945), artist and art administrator, relating to thanks and appreciation from Rothstein for a review of his memoir [Men and Memories, Recollections of William Rothstein], and for the publication of extracts of the book in the Manchester Guardian, with praise of the paper. There is also an expression of thanks by Scott in return for permission for the extracts to be published, and with praise of Rothstein's book. Also included is internal correspondence relating to the cost of further serialization of Rothstein's memoir in the paper.

GDN/A/R57/1 is an internal employment history index card for Rothenstein, 1905.
