Correspondence with John Jones, publisher, relating to discussion of the American stock financial reports provided by the Commercial Telegram Bureaux to the Manchester Guardian, with reference to an increase in its cost owing to the withdrawal of a number of newspapers as subscribers, and to the eventual cancellation of this service as financially unviable. Also included is discussion of a potential Liverpool weekly cotton report in the Manchester Guardian, and reference to reports on cotton from London, Liverpool, America and Bombay, which are still to be provided to the paper by the Bureaux.
