Correspondence with William Stickney Rowntree, businessman, relating to an expression of appreciation by Rowntree for articles in the Manchester Guardian on electoral reform, and discussion of letters to the editor on the subject by Rowntree which have been published in the paper, which is acknowledged with thanks.

Also included is discussion of a letter to the editor by Rowntree on the executions carried out in India, the situation in India, and the response to the execution [of Bhagat Singh, socialist and revolutionary] by Mohandas Karamchand [Mahatma] Gandhi, political leader and religious and social reformer.
