Scope and Content

Correspondence between Donald Blyth, journalist, and W.P. Crozier relating to discussion of and arrangements for Blyth's employment as a reporter for the Manchester Guardian. There are correspondence and internal memoranda relating to annual increases in salary, and consideration of Blyth for potential employment as a war correspondent.

Also included is correspondence on Blyth's stint in the army [during the Second World War], with reference to a request to the War Office relating to demobilisation, which is not granted. There is an internal memorandum relating to Blyth leaving his employment at the Manchester Guardian.
