Correspondence between Baron Georg Franckenstein (1878-1953), Austrian ambassador to the United Kingdom, and E.T. Scott, relating to an offer of participation in a scheme for journalists to visit Austria in order to promote the development of the country's [tourist industry], which is declined, and accompanied by a related internal memorandum.

Also included is correspondence relating to a request for the completion of a questionnaire by E.T. Scott with information on the Manchester Guardian for inclusion in a gazetteer of the principle newspapers in Europe, compiled by the press department of the Federal chancellery of Austria, which is granted. There is correspondence relating to the provision of an abstract of a statement by [Carl Vaugoin?], chancellor of Austria, relating to Austrian constitutional reforms, which is acknowledged.
