Scope and Content

Correspondence with Julia Fitzmaurice-Kelly, Spanish scholar, relating to a request by Fitzmaurice-Kelly for assistance in identifying reviews written for the Manchester Guardian by her husband [James Fitzmaurice-Kelly] for a bibliography of his works, which is granted.

Also included is a request by Scott for an article on the educational system and state of education in spain, following the announcement of the intention to establish 1500 new schools by the Spanish government, for publication in the Manchester Guardian, which is accepted. There is discussion of the suggestion by Fitzgerald-Kelly that the subject might be best covered by a series of articles, and the offer of further articles on Spain, which are declined.

GDN/A/F17/4 is an internal employment history index card for Fitzmaurice-Kelly, 1926.
