Correspondence with John Campbell Gordon, first marquess of Aberdeen and Temair (1847-1934), politician, relating to congratulations to C.P. Scott [on becoming an honorary freeman of the Manchester Reform Club, discussion of Russia [and the appeal for aid during the Russian famine] and a message from Lord Aberdeen to be read out at a meeting of the [Manchester] Reform Club.

Also included is correspondence between Dame Ishbel Maria Gordon, marchioness of Aberdeen and Temair (1857-1939) and E.T. Scott relating to the recommendation of an article in the Journal de Geneve by Lady Aberdeen for potential inclusion in the Manchester Guardian.
