Correspondence between Sir (Herbert) Hamilton Harty (1879-1941), conductor and composer, and E.T. Scott, relating to discussion of a complaint by Harty over criticisms made in a review of concerts given by Harty and the Hallé Orchestra in London published in the Manchester Guardian.

Also included is a copy letter between [Samuel] Langford, music critic and Scott, relating to discussion of a letter [of complaint] by Harty over [criticism by Langford published in the Manchester Guardian].
