Scope and Content

Correspondence between Charles J. Patten (1870-1949), anatomist and ornithologist, and E.T. Scott, relating to discussion of payment for articles by Patten, which are published in the Manchester Guardian,and accompanied by related internal memoranda. There is a request to reprint excerpts of articles published in the paper in a book on birds by Patten, which is granted. There is also reference to reviews of books on birds by Patten for the Manchester Guardian. There is an expression of thanks for the provision of a copy of Triumphs in Bird-Life by Patten.
