Scope and Content

Correspondence with H.B. Carson, journalist, relating to application for and appointment as a sub-editor at the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of work experience and samples of previous work. Also included is correspondence relating to Carson's resignation in order to take up a post at the Daily Mail, which is followed by a desire to return to work at the Manchester Guardian, and a request to be considered for any future positions.
