Correspondence with Thomas James Macnamara (1861-1931), educationist and politician, relating to an offer of an article by Macnamara on a new style of electioneering for publication in the Manchester Guardian, which is declined, as Scott does not agree with the views expressed, and with discussion of the Labour party. Also included is an offer of an article by Macnamara on unemployment, which is accepted, and an internal memorandum on payment for the article. There is also correspondence relating to the offer of an article by Macnamara relating to discussion of [David] Lloyd George, prime minister, and the general election, which is declined.
