Correspondence with James Johnstone (1870-1932), oceanographer and ichthyologist, relating to offers of articles by Johnstone on pearl formation, on classes for fishermen run by the Lancashire sea fisheries committee, and concerning the contamination of mussel beds with sewage in the River Mersey, for publication in the Manchester Guardian, which are accepted.
