Scope and Content

Correspondence with Sir Robert Donald (1860-1933), journalist, relating to an offer of articles by Donald on the extension of city boundaries and the issues relating to this practice for publication in the Manchester Guardian, which are accepted.

There is correspondence relating to an expression of good wishes on Scott's eightieth birthday, and discussion of the influence of the Manchester Guardian observed by Donald during a visit to Poland. Also included is correspondence relating to the provision of a copy of a book by Donald on the Polish Corridor.

There is an invitation from Donald to E.T. Scott to attend a private dinner with the prime minister at the Reform Club, which is declined.
