Scope and Content

Correspondence with John Hunter Harley (1865-1947), journalist, relating to complaints by Harley regarding articles on Poland published in the Manchester Guardian, with reference to reconstruction, trade, the Jewish population, and relations with Danzig. Also included is a request for a letter to the editor by Harley to be published in response to an article on political persecution in Poland, with reference to communists in prison, which is refused. There is also a complaint by Harley relating to an article on the persecution of Hromada or the Independent Peasant Party by Polish authorities, with discussion of Scott's disagreement with Harley's contention that Hromada is communist.
