Correspondence with George Allardice Riddell, Baron Riddell (1865-1934), newspaper proprietor, relating to an expression of thanks by Scott for a copy of a book by Riddell [Some Things that Matter], and the provision of information on an oculist whom Scott had consulted in Germany, Professor Dr W. Stock. Also included is a letter from Ridell to J.R. Scott, relating to thanks for the provision of an [unknown] confidential letter on the admiralty, and assurances of his discretion, with reference to Riddell's proposals for altering an [unknown] act.
