Scope and Content

Correspondence with Sir Henry Alexander Miers (1858-1942), mineralogist and university administrator, relating to a request that Miers write an article for the Manchester Guardian on the [University of London] Bill, 1926. Also included is a request by Gregory Foster, university administrator and provost of the University of London, that the Manchester Guardian publish articles on the bill, with an offer to supply the articles, which is declined.

Also included is a request for support from Scott and the Manchester Guardian for an exchange programme between English and German universities, which is provided. Also included is a letter of thanks from Miers and the German-Anglo Academic Board, for the publication of an article, and a statement by the committee, in the Manchester Guardian.
