Scope and Content

Correspondence with William Bolitho Ryall (1891-1930), journalist and writer, relating to Ryall's employment as a correspondent for the Manchester Guardian in Paris, with discussion of terms of employment, and accompanied by an internal memorandum discussing the subject. Also included is Ryall's letter of resignation in order to take up a post at the New York World,which is acknowledged with good wishes. There is also an internal memorandum recording Ryall's death in May 1931.
