Scope and Content

Correspondence between James Lansdale Hodson (1891-1956), journalist and writer, and W.P. Crozier, relating to a request by Hodson to be considered for the post of parliamentary correspondent at the Manchester Guardian, and accompanied by internal memoranda discussing the subject. Also included is discussion of the offer of another post on Fleet Street received by Hodson, which he accepts, and the provision of best wishes from Crozier on this new appointment.

GDN/A/H73/7 is an article entitled 'Publishing Adventure' on a broadcast by Hodson on self-publishing, and including a notice of his death, 1956.
