Conway studied at Owens College Manchester before working as a house surgeon at MRI. He was then appointed medical officer and public vaccinator for Kirkmanshulme District and lived in Longsight, Manchester. Conway was a member of Manchester Pathological Society, and was a member of British Medical Association for forty years. He died, after a period of retirement, on 19 March 1937.
