Fine was house surgeon at North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary before being appointed resident surgical officer at Manchester Victoria Memorial Jewish Hospital. In 1943 Fine took up general practice in Stretford. He was also honorary physician to Hulme Dispensary Manchester and police surgeon in Stretford for twenty five years. Fine died on 2 August 1978 aged 60.
