Mary Davies qualified from Manchester in 1928; she was later in general practice in Urmston, near Manchester, with her husband Reginald Hunt Tootill (see MMC/2/Tootill). She was medical officer to the Auxiliary Fire Service during the Second World War. She retired with her husband to the Lake District in 1948. She was the niece of Hugh Ainsworth (MMC/2/AinsworthH).
