Ap Thomas was house surgeon in the Eye Dept of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, medical officer to the Eye Dept of Nell Lane Military Hospital, Manchester, Ophthalmic Surgeon at Neyoor Hospitals and Lecturer at Neyoor Medical School, Travancore. Ap Thomas was a member of the Ophthalmic Society and the North of England Ophthalmic Society.
