Glynne was anaesthetic registrar to South Manchester Hospital Group before being appointed clinical assistant to Stockport and Buxton Hospital Group. She was married to Dr Peter John Andrew (see MMC/2/AndrewP) but practised under her maiden name. Two of their children, John Glynne Andrew and Martin Ferguson Andrew, were also doctors.
