Conry was surgeon superintendent at the Royal National Hospital for Scrofula, Margate, and surgeon to His Highness the Rajah of Sarawak. He was later a surgeon for HMS, and worked in general practice in Manchester. Conry was a member of the Manchester Royal Institution and Medical Association.
