William Edge graduated in medicine in Moscow in 1916 and was house physician at Soldatenkoff Hospital, Moscow. He then came to England and from 1918 held house positions at MRI, before taking English qualifications in 1920. Edge later became assistant medical officer for Monsall Hospital Manchester and then medical superintendent to Ladywell Sanatorium, Salford.
