Enright studied medicine in Dublin and trained at the Meath Hospital and also worked at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Dublin. In 1931 Enright joined the staff of Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. In March 1932 she returned to her home in Clifden, near Galway, on holiday, but disappeared and was later found dead. A verdict of suicide was reached.
