Charles Fort, of Oldham, received his medical education at the University of Manchester and served as a captain in the RAMC. Fort was house physician at Salford Royal Infirmary before working in general practice in Chorlton-cum-Hardy and Didsbury. He was a member of Manchester Medical Society and BMA. Fort died on 22 January 1958.
