Green studied medicine and dentistry at the University of Manchester and Dental Hospital. He was honorary dental surgeon at Manchester Dental Hospital and Manchester Children's Hospital and later held the appointment of demonstrator in orthodontia at Manchester Dental Hospital. Green died on 5 July 1948.
