Griffiths studied medicine at the University of Manchester and after qualifying held house positions at MRI. In 1936 she was appointed casualty officer and ENT house surgeon at the Queen's Hospital for Children, London, before being appointed chief medical assistant at MRI. Griffiths also worked at St Mary's Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool. She was later appointed medical officer in charge of the BCG Clinic in the department of child health at St Mary's Hospital Manchester. Griffiths was also research fellow at the Cerebral Palsy Clinic at the Duchess of York Hospital for Children. She was a member of Manchester Medical Society and Manchester Paediatric Club. She later moved to Birmingham. Griffiths died on 12 January 1996.
