Scope and Content

This volume contains the following two historical works :. (I) ff 1r-78v : Siyer-i enbiya-yi izam ve ahval-i hulefa-yi kiram ve menakıb-ı selatin-i Al-i Osman, a compendium of general history to 969 AH (1561-62 CE) by Mehmet Paşa, usually referred to as Küçük Nişancı (died 979 AH/1571 CE). The work is also known as Tarih-i müntahab li'l-fehm-i akrab and Tarih-i Nişancı. This text was copied in 992 AH (1584-85 CE);. (II) ff 79v-185r : Tarih-i Al-i Osman, a chronicle without the author's name provided of the Ottoman dynasty to the year 896 AH (1490-91 CE). This text was likely copied in the late 16th century CE.
