1. f. 1v-27r: [Rūznāmẹ-'i Şeyh Vefā] Rūznāmẹ te'līf-i Şeyh Vefā. The well-known rūznāmẹ or almanac attributed to Müsliḥ-id-din Muṣṭafà ibn Aḥmed called Şeyh Vefā (d. 986/1490-1). Other tables are in red, some having small ornamental panels in green. 2. f. 28v-46r: <Cedveller>. A series of tables on the following subjects: f. 28v, Prophets; 28v, Prophet Muḥammed; 29v-30r, reigns of the Rūm Seljuks and first Ottoman Sultans; 30v-31r, Caliphs and their reigns; 31v-32r, earliest Iranian kings; 32v-37r and 38v-46r, astrological tables showing the best days for particular actions, the seven iḳlīms and the Ka'be, and the causes of rainbows. The first table, f. 33v-35r, is a chronology dating from 835/1431-2. It was published by H. N. Atsız in Osmanlı tarihine ait takvimler. I, Istanbul 1961, pp. 58-74, with introduction, romanisation, indexes and notes. Coloured diagrams on f. 37v-38r and 44r-45r. 3. f. 47v-83v: Kitāb ül-Melḥamẹ ve ca'alīyẹ (sic). Treatise on cosmological and meteorological phenomena and their significance, according to the time of their occurrence. The author is not identified; no other copy has been traced. For other similar works see H. Sohrweide, VOHD XIII/5, p. 276. 4. f. 83v-84r: Ġurrẹ-nāmẹ-'i Şeyh Bayezid. A Ġurrẹ-nāmẹ or table showing incidence of the first day of the lunar month, compiled for Sultan Süleymān I in 926/1520. 5. f. 84v-85r: Falname-'i Kur'an-i 'Azim. A brief text on divination by taking omens from the Qur'ān. 6. f. 85v-86r: Ta'bir-nāmẹ. A short tract on the interpretation of dreams. 7. f. 86v-109r: Ta'bir ür-rü'ya. A treatise on the interpretation of dreams. 8. f. 109v-123v: Ḳānūn-nāmẹ-'i padişahi. A Ḳānūn-nāmẹ of Sultan Aḥmed I (reg. 1012-26/1603-17, detailing some significant changes in Ottoman law and administration. The author is Mü'ezzin-zade 'Ali Efendi, better known as 'Ayn-i 'Ali, for whom see GOW pp. 140-2; 'OM III, p. 286. Other mss.: see B. An ordinance regarding the reallocation of timars, or fiefs, in the sancak of Nikboli (Nikbolu; now Nikopoli, Bulgaria). 11. f. 131v-146r: Ḳānūn-nāmẹ-'i Sultan Süleyman Han der beyān-i cerayim ve zina. Legislation of Sultan Süleyman I regarding penalties for criminal offences including fornication. Published by U. Heyd, in Studies in old Ottoman criminal law, Oxford 1973. 12. f. 146r-150v: [Ḳānūn-nāmẹ]. A compilation of regulations on Ottoman court etiquette and ceremonies. Jahrhundert, Munich 1967. 13. f. 151r-153v: Sabıka Vilayet-i Rum zu'aması ve erbab-i timarı hakkında varid olan Ḳānūn-nāmẹ-i hümayundır. An ordinance requiring that all timars in Rumeli be properly recorded in the central register. 14. f. 153v-154r: Ḳānūn-nāmẹ-'i 'Osmani bera-yi timar daden. Ḳānūn-nāmẹ detailing timars granted to Ağas (high officials of the Imperial Household) and subaşıs (police superintendents). 15. f. 154v-155r: Ḳānūn-nāmẹ-'i Mir-i Miran der timar daden. A Ḳānūn-nāmẹ regulating aspects of the tenure of timars. 16. f. 155r-156r: Hükm-i hümayun ki bi fulan Paşa Mir-i Miran-i Rumeli vürud yafta. Decree concerning timar lands in Rumeli: if changes of tenure are not reported to Istanbul for registration within six months the timars concerned will henceforth be forfeited. 17. f. 156r-159v: [Ḳānūn-nāmẹ]. Ḳānūn-nāmẹ stipulating circumstances in which fiefdoms granted to sipahis in Rumeli or Anadolu may be claimed by their descendants. 18. f. 159v-160v: Ḳānūn-i cedīd. Ḳānūn of Sultan Selim II, dated 974/1566-7, requiring correct administration of taxable estates and reiterating their division into three categories: 'Üşriye, haraciye, memleket. 19. f. 161r-168r: [Fetāvà]. Ebussü'ud Efendiniñ suret-i fetvalarıdır, arazi-i 'üşriye ve haraciye ve arz-ı memleket hususunda. A collection of decrees of the Şeyh ül-İslām Ebussuud Efendi (898 AH/1490 CE - 982 AH/1573 CE) on questions regarding 'Üşriye, haraciye and memleket lands. On Ebussuud see M. C. The contents of this compilation of fetvàs partly correspond to those of the texts published under the title ''Osmanlı Ḳānūn-nāmẹleri' in Milli tetebbü'ler mecmu'ası, i, pp. [49]-58. First comes the decree on protection and taxation of property in the vilāyet of Budin, conquered by Sultan Sleyman in 948/1541; this is followed by numerous questions and answers. It is possible that other Ḳānūn-nāmẹ texts found in this manuscripts have been published. No colophon. Probably copied during the first half of the 17th century. All texts are written in the same good, large nesih hand.

- Codex 169 ff. Materials: Thick, cream laid paper; modern end papers of deep orange and black. Dimensions: 285 x 193 mm; text area variable, generally ca. 230 x 120 mm. Foliation : 169 ff. Pricking and Ruling : Generally 25 lines; catchwords. Some headings and all quotations are in red. Red text frames. Coloured ornamentation to tables etc., in green, blue and red. Script : Nasih. Binding : original brown goatskin with gilt impressed central floral medallions and blind-tooled borders. It now lacks a flap, and what is now the back cover may have been the front.
