Scope and Content

This volume contains a Persian dictionary with Ottoman Turkish explanations and quotations to illustrate the use of the words, by Nimetullah İbn-i Ahmet İbn-i Kadı Mübarek el-Rumi (died 969 AH/1561-62 CE). It is divided into three parts:. ff 1v-17v : Verbs in alphabetical order;. ff 17v-25r : Rules of Persian grammar;. ff 25r-246v : Nouns in alphabetical order. The text contains a single unvan. The manuscript was copied by Mustafa Efendi, İmam in the Mosque of İbrahim Paşa, in 1161 AH (1748 CE).
