Divan-i Haşmet - ديوان حشمت.

The current volume contains the collected works in poetry and prose of Haşmet. The preface of the text is by the work's editor, Seyit Mehmet Sait İmamzade. Haşmet Efendi was, according to the preface, a son of the Kazasker Abbas Efendi, and had scarcely reached middle age when the present collection was made arround 1180 AH (1766-67 CE). The editor, who associated with him during his stay in Bursa, praises him considerably for his poetical talent, especially for his kasideler, in which he imitated and ''exceeded'' Nef'i. He also comments on his exceptional skill with arms. The contents of the current volume are as follows:. ff 1v-5r : The editor's preface;. ff 5r-11v : Two poems in Arabic containing the names of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad صلعم, the first of which is dated, by chronogram, 1180 AH (1766 CE);. ff 11v-35r : Kasideler addressed to the Sultans Mustafa III and Mahmud I, Grand Vezirs Ragıp Paşa (1170-76 AH/1756-1773 CE), Abdullah Paşa (1160-1163 AH/1747-1751 CE), Hakimzade Ali Paşa (1168 AH/1755-56 CE), Mustafa Paşa (1165-70 AH/1749-55 CE), to the Mufti Asım Efendi (1172-73 AH/1758-1761 CE), and to other officials;. ff 35r-43v : Chronograms;. ff 43v-50v : Muhammesat;. ff 50v-107r : Gazeller arranged alphabetically;. ff 107r-108v : Riddles and logogriphs;. ff 108v-111v : Mukataat;. ff 111v-126v : İntisabu'l-muluk, the poet's dream relating to the accession of Mustafa III, in prose;. ff 126v-132r : Terkib-bend in imitation of Ruhi;. ff 132r-134r : A kaside in praise of the Mufti Veliuddin (1173-75 AH/1759-1762 CE);. ff 134r-137v : Forty Ahadis with metrical paraphrase in Ottoman Turkish. The first of these is Khayr-kum man taᶜallam al-Qurᵓān. The author did not proceed past the thirtieth. The last ten are due to Sabri (el-Hacc Hüseyin Efendi el-İznikmidi), the copyist of this manuscript. In the rubric, the author is designated as the ''late'' Haşmet;. ff 137v-180r : Risale-yi sened-i şuara, The title deed of poets, a treatise in prose on the value of poetry. It is dedicated to Grand Vezir Ragıp Mehmet Paşa. It addresses some of the content of the Qur'an and the Ahadis in poetical form; the high esteem in which poets were held by the Prophet Muhammad صلعم; and verses composes by the early Caliphs and Imams. The manuscript was copied between Zulhicce 1197 AH (October 1783 CE) and Safer 1198 AH (February 1784 CE) by Sabri el-Hacc Hüseyin Efendi el-İznikmidi.
