    • 5 texts 84 ff Materials : Multicolored paper (yellow, green, orange, pink) sprinkled with silver. Dimensions : 240 mm x 136 mm. Foliation : Western, 84 ff. Ruling : Gold-leaf text boxes, 167 mm x 69 mm. Script : Nastaliq. Ink : Black ink with catchwords in red, orange and white (15v), gold leaf roundels between phrases. Binding : Brown leather binding stamped with intricate gold leaf edges and cartouches.

Scope and Content

Works in prose and verse by Mehmet Rağıp Paşa (d. 1176/1762-3). These consist of :. (1) (1v-22v) Fethiye-i Belgrad, a report in prose on the capture of Belgrade in 1739. (2) (23v-26r) a taḳrīẓ in Arabic. (3) (26v-27v) Ramazaniye, a poem in honour of Aḥmed Paşa, vālī of Baghdad. (4) (28v-83r) Kaṣīdẹs (28v-32v); Tārīhs (33r-34v), a Na't (35r), and Tahmīsāt (36v-40v). (5) (42v-83v) Gazelīyāt. The manuscript includes five unvans on 1v, 23v, 28v, 36v, 42v, each incorporating a distinct and elaborate pattern of floral ornamentation.
