Scope and Content

These poetical works of Baki (d. 1008 AH/1600) begin with qasidahs and dedicatory ghazals. They are followed by kıt'alar (ff. 91r-93v), Persian ghazals (ff. 93v-r) and further kasideler (ff. 96r-101v). There are nine miniatures of the latter half of the XVI century: full pages (ff. 1v, 96v, ff. 101r-102v); three-quarter page (f. 59r) and half page (ff. 22v, 27r, 67v, 95r). The faces have been damaged and have been extensively retouched at a later date. The name of the copyist appears on f. 95r as Mahmud İbn-i Şeyh Ömer Dergüzini, who, according to a note in Karatay ii, p. 305, was alive in 976 AH/1568-69.
