This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish translation of an account of Cairo during the French occupation of Egypt, originally composed in Arabic by ᶜabd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥasan al-Jabartī (died 1825-26 CE). The title of the Arabic original as provided by Brockelmann and Babinger is Muẓhir al-taqdīs bi dhahab al-dawlat al-Frānsīs (مظهر التقديس بذهب الدولة الفرانسيس). The translator's name is given as Mustafa Behçet (died 1248 AH/1832-33 CE). This manuscript was copied in 1226 AH (1811-12 CE).
