Scope and Content

This volume contains the following two texts :. (I) ff 1v-44r : Şerh-i Kaside-yi Meymune, an Ottoman Turkish commentary on Al-Qaṣīdat al-maymūnah (القصيدة الميمونة), a poem in praise of the Prophet Muhammad صلعم, also known as al-Nuᶜmānīyah (النعمونية), by Abu Ḥanīfah al-Nuᶜmān ibn Thābit. The commentary, which is provided with a translation, was written by Şeyh Mehmet Said İbn-i İbrahim Filibevi, known as Kavalizade. This text is an autograph and is dated 1206 AH (1791-92 CE);. (II) ff 45v-120v : Navhatü'l-uşşak, a mystical mesnevi by Mehmet İbn-i Recep, called Da'i. This text was likely copied in the late 18th century CE.
