Ali Pasha Papers

The papers of Ali Paşa (1815-1871), several times Grand Vizier and Foreign Minister in the reign of Abdülaziz (1861-1876), laminated and guarded in two volumes. The papers, which are not organized according to any particular scheme, have suffered much from damp. Vol. 1:. The contents of this volume are all drafts of official letters, except for ff 181 and 207, both of which are private letters, and an official memorandum concerned with money-changers, dated 1140 AH (1761 CE) (f. 327r).
